One more sleep

Tonight we plan to sleep in the motorhome. That way today we can totally winterize the house and lock it up. But first we have to finish the lists and finish them we will. Colin’s has already been to another special appointment with the dentist this morning about the root canal, he was given more antibiotics and he is good to go.

Yesterday the golf cart was loaded and moved to storage. It will keep the BMW company during the long cold winter nights.

In an effort to conserve space in the RV we decided to mix the remaining bits of 5 types of cereal. It is probably my only concession to saving space but at least I tried!!

Off to do more packing. At the end of the day I’m treating myself to a massage and then a pedicure. That’s when I will know that I’m good to go.

The finals….

…yes we are in the very very finals!!!!

The final dental appointments, the final medical appointment, the final massage, the final bank deposit, the final pennies in the bank account and the final vet appointment, the final car and RV prep, the final Christmas card written, etc, etc.

...even the final tomatoes ripening on the sill....

What else? Oh yes, the final grass cutting, the final job and invoice….well you get the idea.

However it won’t be final till we are packed. Plan is to keep working all weekend and move into the RV for Monday night with a Tuesday departure.

Forgot to mention, we had a ‘final showing’ on Tuesday with 10 minutes notice….maybe this is it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting too busy for showings now, but then this is when our place might sell!!! The people who came knew we are leaving next Tuesday…..

Caeli says " could you stop with the to do list and give me final meal of today"!

Hey Ma...we're starving here!

My Dad has always told me that my list will never be done. He told me that on the day I die I will still have a to do list…..so “hey kiddo just stop and enjoy!!”

You know what Dad, I am almost ready to take your advice…love you!

We survived….

I don’t ever want to do yesterday again. Eleven stops which was nine too many for me!!!

...this helped a bit but bed at 8:30PM was even better!

Half of the appointments evolved into glitches which will require due diligence today. Who has that time??? The biggest problem is with our solar panel control unit. In the last three weeks we have installed 2 new ones and they appear to be defective. For some unknown reason they don’t shut down and have allowed the batteries to get to the boiling point. The read out shows 15.5 volts and the sun is lower here than in Mazatlan. So back to the store for yet another or should we wait and try another product in the USA? Voyageur RV said that it is not unheard of to get an entire shipment of defective products. Fortunately our batteries were checked out and are still in good shape.

So Colin and I are going to split the glitches between us, add that to today’s to do list and get a move on….

The girls meanwhile were simply exhausted from their visit to the vet and will be spending the day recuperating!!!

Take your seats….

…….P L E A S E!

Would you now fasten your seat belts. We are about to take a brief day trip into the lives of the 5C’s.

This is the itinerary for today’s trip.

8:00AM Drop off RV for service ( that means, slides in, jacks up, etc. etc.)

9:00AM Dental appointment

10:00AM Vet appointment for annual check, anal glands and International paperwork

10:45AM Post Office to weigh and get proper post for 5 packages

NO SET TIMING….return dogs home, maybe have some food for the humans, move on to final shopping at Walmart, Safeway, M & M, Bulk Foods for Colins’s driving nuts….

2:00PM Lawyer appointment

3:00PM Meeting with an insurer related to a local Chamber of Commerce ( possible great news on our future medical, travel medical & personal insurance )

????time…deliver to Robert legal documents.

????time pick up RV (hopefully)

6:00PM WINE TIME….

ooops, change of plans….last minute……

Thank goodness for my instant ER phone number system...changes made effortlessly......ya right!

630AM…..deliver RV for check up/service….that means I have to get up early and pick my man up so that he can carry on…

7:30AM…..EMERGENCY ROOT CANAL..not for me but for someone who does not want to be named ????!!!!

11:00…..new time for vet appointment

….the rest of it as it happens…….OMG…is this for real….and yet you complain when I have some wine….PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK…IT HAS BEEN A TOUGH DAY….not to mention no business or RV packing done.

Then there is Sandy who wants an after photo of my desk work day…..
