Sunset taken February 12th

It started out like a normal sunset but the colours changed quickly.

What was that to the right?

A flower, the tree of life perhaps. Pretty special.

Time to transplant a special plant

I bought the plant on the left this past December and it has grown quickly. It needed a new home.

Once we found a new larger pot, it was no easy task to get the plant out of the tiny pot.

Colin decided that the only way to not damage the plant was to destroy the small pot. Difficult for me to see a ten year old pot become garbage.

The twins were eager to see what was happening.

Free at last.

This post had served us well over the years.

Guess who wanted in on the action.

We had to steal some soil from the garden area. Somehow all the extra garden soil had already been used up.

As you can see this plant is very happy.

How it looked when we first panted it.

Over the years our dogs have enjoyed being involved in the planting, well maybe not this one so much 🙂

We used to have stairs down to the beach. One year they got washed away. Then management built a wall to keep the water back but the wall was never finished. So now we have to go around to get down to the beach. I really liked my stairs.

Que pasa

There are a number of things happening around here that are taking my time and energy, hence fewer posts. Today is a good day, I am almost caught up to my emails but as I said before I will answer them all eventually. I believe that the longest person waiting has been Don ( and Louise ) since March of 2020. They and a few others ask me from time to time about the final story of our generator. I still plan on doing so. So hang in there folks.

Sent by a friend who was walking her dog on the ice on February 6th. Still ice and snow.

Sent by another friend 11 days later. She sat in the sun on our glider enjoying the almost melted lake.

Looks like our grass will need some work.

This was sent to me by Sequoia’s mom. This was taken five months before the triplets were born. I love the dragonfly and flower colours combined. Neither of us knew we would be getting baby doxies in February of 2021.

I thought this would be my final plumeria this season but I still have three waiting to bloom.

Colin has washed, waxed and polished half of the RV. He better getting going with the rest before it gets too hot.

We have seen some pretty high tides and waves as you can see from this photo, the ocean is very close to touching the netting out front of the RV park. The temps have been hovering around 71F for the past 3 – 4 weeks. Not a problem when it is sunny. Two days ago we got up to 75F but we have not seen the sun for the past 48 hours and are back down to 71F. Hopefully the promised sun and heat will arrive by Monday.

Colin went to pick up the laundry and the girls are keeping watch.

We fertilize every 2 -3 weeks. I mix the combination and Colin pours it on the plants. Ciela has decided that she has to be everywhere that I am.

A huge new hibiscus bloomed today. I almost threw this plant out when we arrived as it was just a few stems with one or two leaves on it but I gave it another chance. Of course the fertilizer did most of the work. I saved a second hibiscus and it is due to bloom within the week. Looking forward to see what colour it will be. I really love this one.

Best shrimp stir fry ever. I am taking a freezer full of shrimp home with us.

There is a nose sticking out of that bundle of blankets.

Special February 14th walk

Only I did not go on this walk. So it was Colin and the girls, photos take with his larger Canon camera. I only just saw these tonight. Wonderful photos of our chocolate stash at the beach.
