Traffic worries on the Isla
Yesterday we left Tres Amigos RV Park to take in the laundry, maybe two miles away. As we drove this blog wrote itself 😀
Cute little three wheeler waiting for service at one of the many local mechanics. We had to detour around three stopped people movers and down a few side roads to come upon this fun thing. Worth the detour.
But then we did got stuck behind a slow moving people mover aka a tractor pulling a large wagon of people often on a day trip from Mazatlan.
On the way back from the lavenderia we got stuck behind a horse drawn taxi aka as a mini sightseeing mode of transport. There are three of these horse drawn wagons but only one has a driver who also sings. One has to be careful not to drive through the horse manure.
We stopped to pick up a garafon of water, 5 litres. There is water delivery to the RV Park but we prefer to use a different company. That’s when the horses went past, mere millimeters from the Jeep.
We had to wait while this people mover passed the horses and then we got in line behind the horse taxi and the horses and riders. Moving along at a slow pace we finally got to the turn off we needed.
This traffic jam was waiting for us at the entrance to the RV Park. Further behind the parked bus there is a crowd of visitors in the middle of the road, boarding a different people mover. Looks like a car is waiting to pass. Good thing we were turning right at this point.
So much action in such a short drive 😎 Fortunately the Isla only gets this busy at this time of year and during Easter.
The MS Eurodam/Holland America, had no trouble slipping out the shipping channel later in the afternoon. No traffic jams on the water.
