Erik showed up about 1PM Thursday afternoon and was ready to install our new battery tray and batteries.
Out with the old.
In with the new. Four Lifeline AGM batteries. They should last nine years and as they are sealed Colin no longer needs to keep adding distilled water every few weeks. Another task done away with.

While Erik was concentrating on the battery install his assistant Gustavo installed four new hydraulic struts to replace those that have died in past years. Now the basement doors will stay open on their own.
The new water pump we installed last fall after the Alburqueque Balloon Fiesta has been acting up so Colin had Gustavo install a new pump that we had on hand. We were fortunate in that Gustavo had to wait for Erik before they moved onto another RV so we were able to use him to do a few things for us.
Good thing we did that. We have had a freeloader living in the water box. A small mouse nest which is no longer there. If you look at the first water tank photo above and look under the water tank, you can see see that the back area has white Styrofoam holding the water tank. That Styrofoam is missing to the right of the pump and and along the front of the water tank. There are now boards supporting the water tank. What a busy little mouse. Glad he prefers Styrofoam over wires.
We woke up yesterday morning to find that one our our new bougainvillea had no leaves nor flowers. I know it wasn’t the mouse but what?

A large photography production but once again everyone arrived past sunset for this girl’s quinceanera photo shoot. It is the celebration of a girl turning fifteen. There is a good deal of information on the internet about the traditions and back ground of this special celebration.

I am no longer yelping out loud with each step. I now only groaning about every five steps. Exercise and icing are helping along with using Voltaren. Sadly I had a ticket to join several others tomorrow for a fashion show but I can’t go. I just don’t have the confidence to keep my balance getting into and out of the lancha. I am wobbly at the best of times.
Very early yesterday ( Tuesday ) morning, three RV’s drove right into our park here. Two of them were towing. It took a while to sort them all out, get unhooked and get them backed out and headed to RV2 where they belonged. Unless you know where you are going when you come to Tres Amigos please wait out in the lane, walk in and check where your site is.
Colin took the Playa Sur lancha over to Mazataln yesterday to see an eye doctor. I felt so badly, not being able to go with him for support. Colin has had an irritation in one eye for several days and it was not going away. Best to check it out. Turns out that the cause was oily conjunctivitis. Likely due to all the perspiration from our setting up and the extra humidity. Two sets of eyedrops should help that problem.
He also did some errands and grocery shopping so we will be able to eat well for the next few days.

Thank goodness I had Sophia booked to come in yesterday morning. My right knee began to bother me on our beach walk Sunday. By Monday morning I needed a cane to walk even just a few steps. Quite painful. Fortunately we had my trusty cane in the RV, the one I used with both hip replacements.
She says that my right knee muscles and those above and below are extremely tight. No exact idea why but perhaps from lifting something and twisting but I don’t recall that or perhaps from my not being active enough. I have being doing between 5,000 to 8500 steps per day. I am in agony with each step. It was not exactly a relaxing massage but boy does Sophia know the workings of a knee and its surrounding tissue. I was ready to head over to emergency at one of the major hospitals but instead took her advice and have been doing dozens of exercises over the day plus ice and ice and more ice. I will give it a few days and see if anything changes.

Saturday morning we went to pick up our laundry and to drop off another load. Still some water on the streets, this is near the Super Deli ( green building ) and on a paved road.
Just around the corner. It certainly does not look like a paved road.
Lazy puppy and restless little girl. I watched them for a few minutes as Colin did the laundry thing. $7.50CAD/$5.65USD to have three loads of laundry washed dried and folded. Such a treat for me.
Beautiful sunset Saturday.
Humid Sunday and the plant man arrives. I got the final two plants that I needed. Our garden is complete. Well Colin has a plan that may or may not happen.
Sue on the left is from Holiday Park Resort in Kelowna where we both live. She has known Ferne for many years as they both work at the RV Owners Lifestyle Seminar at the Kelowna Community College every June. Ferne has RVed here now for eight winters and Sue has wintered here for several years but things have changed in her life of late.
We did enjoy a Sunday walk on the beach but had to abort early due to a twinge in my right knee.
Happy to sit and watch a very unique sunset.

We had nothing to complain about during that storm.
The last two photos were taken at Mar- a – Villas RV Park in Mazatlan. I can’t even begin to consider the RV damage. We were so very fortunate. That Class A ‘Sea View’ really did have a sea view.
We spent the day after, Friday, cleaning up.
Our third time power washing in two weeks. Drying out towels, tablecloths and the area under the tables.
Colin and Ismael were planting three new palmas when they came across eleven large red ant nests, not just large ants but also huge nests.
That would explain why so many of my bougainvillea have been chewed up.
Fresh off the veggie truck. All of this for 50 pesos or $3.40CAD/$2.56USD.
Just as we were heading off for a beach walk, we had a visitor.
The horse came between our RV and the one beside us and then moved into our yard. It only had about three feet between our green web chair ( on the left ) and the plant pot next to the wall. I had visions of it crashing through our yard back out to the road and destroying our plants. However it was very polite and left the same way it had arrived.

Ferne and Donna dropped by for visit. As you can see I am taking some time off. I think I mentioned before that the palms have grown so high that we need to put up umbrellas in the afternoon.
A lovely end to the day Friday. The storm is over and it is time to move on.
