I have to really think about what we did yesterday as I took only one photo all day.
We did a bit of gardening in the morning. I had Colin plant some Portulaca/moss rose seeds for me. I can’t get down on my knees. However I was able to bend from the waist and added some new kale and Swiss chard seeds to top up my pots. I think that last rain we had killed some of the seeds and I had holes so simply did some filling in. I also did a bit of tidying of my hibiscus pots, just a few weeds and dead blossoms.
Later I stood in the kitchen preparing something for a potluck for the next day. By the time I was done my knee was throbbing. Standing is not good for me. So I sat and read and iced. I also had a lovely visit with one of the RVers who dropped by to see how I was doing. Always lovely to sit out front and watch the ocean.
Suddenly Colin reminded me that we had to leave in a very short amount of time.
He had booked us a table to see Johnny O as this might be his only time playing here this winter.
We stayed for the first set and enjoyed the music and dinner. About 15 minutes into the second set I was crashing, suddenly very tired. So we left and were home shortly after 10PM. I needed to rest. Gosh I never even got a sunset shot. Hope you are having a good week.

We woke up to very thick fog yesterday and it seemed like more than 100% humidity. Damp and cool.
We think that these belong to a large dog.
The prints came all the way from behind where this photo was taken, along our RV mat and right up to the end of the yellow patio. Of course Colin had to wash the patio and the RV mat again!
This was after the fog had dissipated somewhat.
Thank goodness Monday ( yesterday ) was massage day. Sophia did an excellent job on my knee. She discovered a large mass behind my right knee which she worked on. I also felt every inch of her pressing down from my ankle up to my hip and back again and over and over. Definitely tight but oh so much better.
Yes I am still icing and doing exercises everyday. I no longer am using a cane to walk but I am being very careful.
This loud helicopter spent some time hovering and checking out the beach activity before moving one.
I came inside later to find that Colin had begun to put up our inside Christmas lights.
Now we have to add the ornaments, etc. Looking good so far. Not sure why the last two photos were so out of focus.
So ended Monday.

I had moved inside Friday because of the bugs but Colin headed out to entertain our neighbours. The majority of the RV park had already headed into Mazatlan to attend Art Walk or to just go out for dinner. I might have to look into getting some of those PJ’s.
Saturday was a quiet resting time for me which meant icing my knee and reading. Colin of course did what he does best, he played one or more of his five guitars 😉
Saturday sunset marked the time for us to head into Mazatlan with Pierre, Diana and their guest David.
Our first stop was to pick up some tickets for the Sunday symphony concerts in January at the Angela Peralta Theater box office. The exterior area is nicely decorated for family holiday photos.
The Christmas lighting ceremony was Friday but we decided to come Saturday to check it all out.

The Christmas decorations and lighting have definitely changed over the past few years. In my eye it has been much more elaborate, exciting and Christmassy in past years. However any display of Christmas lights is always fun.
We enjoyed dinner at Gaia. That is my favourite band, Los Cryps toward mid centre.
I really wanted to dance. But I was tethered to my seat.
Despite not being able to dance it was a fun evening.
The guys beat out the music with their hands on the table.
Sunday was a quiet day followed by a quite lovely sunset.

We woke up a few days ago to three of our four new bougainvillea plants, stripped of their leaves and blossoms. After much discussion it was decided that it was likely due to ants but we needed to check that at night. These two plants had only been planted 1 -2 days ago and were full of blooms and leaves but were gone in the blink of an eye.
Colin and the night watchman figured out that the ants were coming over the wall from the other side and that they lived in the cracks in the wall.
Can you see those two green leaves top left? Ants are moving those to their nest.
Marcus is following their path.
Sad to see my plants being brought to the nest for food.
We have no idea what Marcus was putting down on the ground but he claimed that the ants would bring the poison back to the nest.
The next afternoon, Ismael showed up ( we had contacted management earlier in the day ) with a spray insecticide pack on his back. He proceeded to spray every single crack and crevice on the other side of the wall. There are a lot of them. He also sprayed obvious nests next to the water tanks.
Since we have been sprayed we have seen no ants but of course that can change any night. We plan to check on a nightly basis. Needless to say that I have decided to not replace my plants at this time. But it is driving me nuts to see blank areas with no plants 🙁
The plants are all mine, at least those on this side of the wall. However the amount and strength of the ants is something we can’t deal with on our own. If we don’t stop them now at our site, they will likely invade the entire park and everyones plants.

… of trying to get better. Lots of icing, ibuprofen, mini self massages and stretch exercises.
Each day is a bit better. I am walking but using the cane as the pea gravel is unstable. Now I am at the point of how much should I push myself past the pain and walk a bit or should I just sit. Five days of light exercises thus far.
