Que pasa

I know that I have a few Aussie readers so I just wanted to say thank you so very much for sending some of your firefighters to help us.

Being as it was a smoke free day Colin was off to do a 15 hour photo shoot. This is only half of what he carries. There is another large camera bag under the grey one.

They are not often here and over the last two years their hedge has died. I was quite concerned about it being a fire hazard.

It will take a while to get use to having no hedge there. One day when they move here permanently they will likely put a fence up.

So cute 🙂 Now how great are our RCMP that they feed their lunch to animals roaming around because of the fires.

Good move with the hedge..It would have exploded like gasoline…Great neighbors, unlike mine…They put a cedar fence up 10′ from my house…
The worst people I’ve ever met in my life..not just the fence…
If a fire hits me they will be paying for my house, I’ve got pictures…
Hope things idle down for you folks. It’s finally on the news down here.

One of the bad things here in this park are the amount of cedar hedges, all with dried outinsides. Just the few inches on the outside are green.
Looks like the of the wildfires maybe be getting under control. good luck.
I wouldn’t say that they are under control. We still have over 43,000 people evacuated. The fires continue. Some people will be able to return to a few areas soon but we are still under a state of emergency.
Finally some cooler rainy days in the Fraser Valley, hope that will reach the interior. Thank you Australia for pitching in. And of course our own troops.
Sadly there is no rain in our forecast.
Our fire risk is lowered by 2.5 days of rain but likely that’s the end of it for several weeks again. Love the picture of the pigs. The RCMP officer next door returned after being gone for a week to assist with the evacuations. If my stepson wasn’t on training in the military in the USA likely he would have been sent there with the troops as that is his garrison.
So glad you got the rain. I told people about your neighbor being up here in our area re the fire
