Quick trip into town!
While Colin had his massage Tuesday I decided at the last minute ( that means with 10 minutes notice ) and for those who know me, well that is news in itself to go with him. I shopped in Centro while he massaged:) Managed to pick up a bunch of stuff I could just not live without till we return in November.
By the time we met I had not stopped for over 2 hours and we had just done the huge beach walk before leaving the Isla. I was hungry and even too hungry to walk to the Plazuela Machado for my usual.

So we stopped at Tony's for a camarone burger. Cost 45 pesos or $2.70USD. That has to be the best burger I have ever had in my life......100gm of huge shrimp grilled with chihuahua cheese, avocado sauce etc, etc....the expression 'to die for' doesn't even cover it. Tony, the owner and chef said that if we did not like it we did not have to pay!! Once he found out we were from Isla de la Piedra he started asking if we knew so and so.....Gord, this photo is for you!!
The young woman who took this photo was seated around the corner at Tony’s counter in the Mercardo. Her and her parents had just sailed from here from Ecuador and are currently docked at the El Cid Marina. They like Mazatlan and have decided to buy a home in the city. You just never know who you will meet nor where. We had a fun visit along with a wonderful lunch.

That sounds like so much fun, love the photos.
The article is a blast.
Welcome to the blog Catherine, I know you read it but so nice having you commenting.
Just another wonderful day in Town, sounds like a great burger!
Ahhhh….Tony’s!! Gord had a look of envy on his face when I showed him the photo. His favorite hangout!! Who would have guessed that he was a culinary master – able to sniff out great food with exceptional prices. Of course his would have been a hamburguesa.
My mouth is watering!
Where is this great burger stand? Will need to go and try it out!
