A good day

The sun came out of hiding and warmed us from top to bottom.  22C, not great for this time of year but perfect for a day of yardwork.  First the house yard.

Then we moved over to the beach site where we continued for a few more hours while the girls hunted in the rocks for snakes.  They and us have seen the snakes but fortunately have never caught one.

Need to know

I wouldn’t say that I am computer illiterate, after all I can Google and I can email.  What else do I need to know?  Well the first thing is to figure how to use my nifty new camera, then how to transfer the photos to the computer and then how to use some of them here.  What is an RRS feed?  How do you create an archive?  Most important of all is how to find time to do all of this?  Last spring we found a wonderful techie guy to create Colin’s website and now Terry is getting me blogging.  I have a great deal to learn, actually a whole new world of need to know.  Here I am at my first computer class.

A ray of sunshine visits Lake Country today!

…actually four rays of sunshine.  Our friends and neighbors at Tres Amigos RV Park on the Isla, Patty & Ken, dropped by for a visit just hoping to catch us home.  They found 4 of the C’s here, Colin was working (cuz there was a ray of sun).  They had just picked up their two new fur babies yesterday.  Let me introduce you to sisters,  Sammy (Samantha) and Zoey, 8 week old West HIghland Terriers aka ‘the girls’.

and the entire family, their very first portrait.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you and the girls in Mazatlan!  Ummmm I think Zoey is the one on the left!

Now if any of you are looking for a baby doxie check here:

Time to build an ark!

We left Mazatlan March 28 and arrived in Kelowna on April 9th.  It has been raining, drizzling, cloudy, dull, sometimes snowing, cool, very cold, often windy and just plain miserable ever since.

The girls refuse to go outside to do their business unless they are desperate.  We are even growing mushrooms all over the lawn.  Wish our flowers and roses would start growing instead. Our forecast is cloud and showers, pretty tough to get those prize winning photos for our clients.  Of course our friends back East are struggling to deal with heat wave conditions.  At least we aren’t in Alberta where they are still experiencing snow.  I want to know where is the heat part of global warming?  Is that why we are using our furnace every morning since we returned from Mexico??

5C’s Que Pasa !!

……….and so it begins.  I have been toying with the idea of a blog for a few years. Perhaps due to my various ailments (fibromyalgia, back problems, lack of time and general laziness)  I have tended to shy away from long emails even though I wanted to write.  This outlet will allow me to share what’s up with the 5C’s in a fun, informed and most important (for me) easy manner.  For my 57th birthday, last week, Colin gave me a small pocket size camera and a creator for this blog.  So here I am.  It is a leaning curve and a new endeavor.  One I hope we all enjoy.
