Let’s try it again……..

…….I have come to believe that our RV prefers to travel West or South….that must be why when we headed to Edmonton mid June which as you know is East & North we had mucho problemas…so we are going to try a new direction……….WISH US LUCK!  We are heading West today……… …perhaps a titch South but for certain West.  We are off to the lower Mainlaind  aka the Vancouver area for a week of photography. The engine is working (3000.00), the toilet is working (??at least 500.00), the hot water tank on electric is good to go (120.00) and the HHR is good to go after 878.00 on wheel bearings!!!

So off we go on Monday July 19.  The bird in storage…oops I mean she is with Cheryl her…hopefully new to be 50% of the time mom….

what a lot of 'stuff'

I think it will be a good thing for all of us.

Chiekka at her Aunty Cheryl's

The dogs are wondering where the feathered sister is but anxious as always to hit the road. They wonder if this is the trip that they will end up at the beach. Nope…not this time…

…we are on a work mission….

Happy Anniversary to us!!

Hard to believe we have been married 23 years today.  Through thick and thin, through curves in the road and many topes along the way we are still happily together.  Good going!

Artificial Insemination!!!!!!

A baby...

Yup…that is what we are doing this year.  We have decided to grow

tomatoes……….only we are going about it in our way….sure, the bees and the birds or whatever have their chance to fool around but I am not taking any chances so I have brought my own method of science into the equation….’artificial insemination via Contessa and paint brush’.  Hey folks, no big deal…if you have a desire you too can inseminate…the tomatoes that is!  Just get a small (maybe a paint by numbers size brush) and then just keep rubbing it from flower to flower and soon you will too will be expecting…

the babies are a coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eh! I can’t hear you, eh, eh!

Have you ever heard of ear candling? Basically it is a natural method of cleaning out your ears.  You insert a candle made of pure bees wax into the ear canal & light it.  The vacuum created  inside the candle will not only remove excess wax but also any flies or bugs stuck in the ear canal.

my model

There are certain procedures to follow but it is time to extinguish the candle when down to two inches. Colin always has 2 bowls of water standing by as well as a fire extinguisher…just in case!  At this point it is always fun to cut open the remaining piece of candle and see how much wax was extracted.  I do this a minimum of every 2 months and I am always surprised at how much wax is extracted each time.

tne last inch or so of candle and the huge amount of wax removeOI

See the amount of wax withdrawn per ear….measured just above the ruler.

I do wonder if everyone who has a hearing aid really needs it  I hear so much better after a candling. The good news is that Mary, our Mazatlan massage therapist will be offering ear candling this next winter season.  I highly recommend it!

Updates & even more updates!!

We woke up to 7C Wednesday morning….as they say cool eh!  The temperature actually got up to 30C.  Que dias!  What a day!  Our friends up at Silver Star had snow on Monday evening.

The x-90 trunk got fixed..a mere $293.72 dollars…nope not pesos.

I got the dent in my car repaired for 85.00 plus tax.

Best of all we got the electric hot water working in the RV for $60.00.  Had we listened to the RV tech in Edmonton we would  be out of pocket thousands of dollars.  Our fantastic guy here found the problem in mere minutes and the part cost 34.00.

Got Ken’s site rented for 3 months.  Yeah!

Baby Bella has gained a bit of weight and she is now kicking her feet and trying to lift her hands up to a mobile!!  Great news!

My Dad finally met the hip Dr. and is scheduled for one hip replacement in September if not sooner.  The second hip will be done 3 months later….guaranteed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We may have found a bird sitter…stay tuned for details.

Colin is working and working and working..if not behind the camera then in front of the computer.

We have upgraded the laptop to Snow Leopard and purchased a new 27″ desk top iMac.  Now both computers are on the very same systems, run faster and so far are saving Colin about 35% time in photoshop work.  Best of all we are sending the old G5 to my Dad in Edmonton so he and Mom can keep up with us via this blog and even speak with us via video (Skype) when we are in Mexico.  That is if they can learn how to use a computer…..

the older G5

new iMac

And me…well I am not doing too good right now..I have a great deal of pain and can’t seem to shake it.  I feel and move like am 90 years old.  I really am trying to get beyond this.  After having so many pain free days this is getting me down.
