…..we certainly seem to be going day and night. Today Friday ( in real time ) is our sixth happy hour/outing in a row 😉 This post is about number four and five Wednesday & Thursday. Colin had an all day home shoot and the weather was perfect. We were invited to join the home owner/developer for a happy hour on Thursday ( yesterday ). I have no photos of that as I was so enjoying viewing the home. Colin has not had a chance to edit his photos as the jobs are coming in day after day. Why do they wait until we on on the verge of heading south 8-O? From my point of view, you will love this home’s bathtub photos. Once they are ready I will put them here on my blog.
I was so enthralled with the home ( it featured my favourite colours ), guess what they are ? Photos coming soon. On the way home we saw fuel for sale @ 128.9 in Summerland. At home we were paying 1.34, so of course we stopped and filled up. With our Petro-Canada card we saved 9 cents per litre. The savings all add up.
Saw this on the bridge as we headed back to Kelowna.
Who travels with instruments not to mention a computer sound board in the back of a pick up? The cymbals were flying. We could barely keep up to his speed.
We have a favourite Chinese restaurant here in Kelowna, the Mekong. We usually eat there once or twice per year. This is the first time in two years that it worked out that we were able to stop for dinner. Never expected to include so many food shots but every bite was over the top.
Deep fired jumbo prawns. Served with plum sauce, excellent.
Coconut Curry Chowmein.
Chop Suey with black bean sauce.
Spicy deep fried tofu cubes stir fried in spicy chilli garlic sauce with onions and broccoli. Hot and spicy!!

As you know part of Colin’s job is to take photos of very high end homes, usually for the builders. So he sees what the latest is. When I saw these photos I just had to share them. Personally I can’t image having my bathtub in my bedroom.

We had our third happy hour in a row yesterday. That was a first for us. Not even in Mexico do we go to happy hour three nights in a row, not to mention hosting. Croft wanted to introduce Penny to his friend Rod and co worker from back in the day and his wife Sylvia. This was their second vistit here this summer. They attended the blogger fest, a few weeks ago. Oh my goodness, I never even thought until this very moment as I am composing this post to get a photo of Croft, Rod and I, a different trio of bloggers.
We started with happy hour on the lawn.
Everyone has such a lovely smile.
The sky began to darken, the wind came up and the rain drops began to fall, so we moved the party inside.
We all had a grand visit with lots of chit chat.
We had reservations for 7PM at the Italian Kitchen here in the park. The rain became more intense so Sylvia and Rod took Penny and Croft with them in their car to the restaurant. Colin and I put the food away and did a quick tidy up. We had reservations outside but when I saw the storm brewing ( I never got a shot of the dark sky ) I called and changed us to a table inside. The restaurant kept a table both inside and outside for us. Very nice. By the time we left the house to meet the group there was a break in the rain. Not only were we having rain but thunder and lightening. Several fires were ignited as well as a house catching fire due to lightening strikes. We had 4000 plus strikes here in the valley alone. As of this afternoon there are only a few fires burning, nothing too big at this time. The lightening was spectacular. Someone made a wee video of the show.
Dinner was wonderful and everyone enjoyed their meal. Rod, did get served eventually.
Another wonderful evening with friends. The rain continued for a good part of the night. I didn’t need to water the garden today.

Yesterday our friends Jannose and Colin stopped in for happy hour and dinner. They spent the night in one of the rental condos here in our RV park. They were just passing through from Edmonton to Oliver to visit family.
We manage to visit once or twice per year and always have a good deal to talk about ( travel in a big one ) and a few laughs.
After happy hour we decided to eat dinner outside. Pizza, Caesar salad, potato salad and coleslaw.
We ate it all except for bit of potato salad and coleslaw.
