We spent most of the 22nd inside cooking, preparing for our posada the next day. This was the only photo I took on the 22nd.
Our party was for all those camped here at RV1. It was a pot luck but as the host I felt the need to prepare at least four main food items plus I added a few things like appetizers and truffles from Belgium after dinner.
Folks began to arrive shortly after 4PM.

Laura moved about a good deal socializing and I have her in number of my photos. I was tired and sadly did not make a very good effort to take photos.

Alan did a much better job that I did. We were very fortunate that there was only one insect spotted all evening. A true Christmas miracle.
Fortunately Alan took a shot of people lining up for dinner. It was very festive and Colin had Christmas music playing outside in the background. Sorry no photos of all the yummy food. We even had ham and scalloped potatoes!
Shortly after dinner we managed to do some respectable Christmas carolling.
Santa ( in his snazzy new suit jacket ) along with Rudolph made an appearance. Here Santa is dumping what he thought was his bag of toys onto the ground. Turns out it was his laundry! He brought the wrong bag.
Alan got this shot of Ferne coming to Santa’s rescue with the correct bag of goodies. Each person was given some festive head gear.
Santa very generously handed everyone a kazoo and some candies. The group was really into Christmas kazoo music. We are ready to start a band.
It appears that a great time was had by all.
Santa even brought along a 3 litre bottle of Toscana Rosso from Italy.
The wine was very good and fun addition to the party. Thanks for pouring the wine Alan. Dave meanwhile had already begun sharing tequila shots from his private collection.
As some folks drifted away others sat around our fire pit and Colin played for a while. A lovely way to end the evening.
Now that was a party. No idea what time it was when everyone had left but we just came in and went to bed and cleaned up the next day.

We arrived at the diagnostic imaging place Thursday morning, the day after Christmas. Unfortunately the doctor who was supposed to be there was unable to come to work. Eventually it was decided that I should have regular x-rays. The good news I that my knee is in pretty good shape and no reason for the pain could be seen.
Rather than do the ultrasound which was suggested I said that we should just go for the MRI. That is a special coil around my right knee and then I was moved into the machine. I had to try it three times before I calmed down enough. I am extremely claustrophobic and did not think that I would last 2o minutes, in the end I was inside for 28 minutes.
As you can see my head was left out. They wanted me to put my arms inside and I would have been pinned into place. I could not do it and they agreed to let my arms stay out. I was in up to my bent elbows but had 2 or 3 inches to move my arms about and that helped. Colin said that he knew how stressed I was by how much I kept moving my hands. He had to walk away a few times. It truly was horrific for me and I was so very happy to get back home here.
All I was told is that there is a good deal of fluid in my knee. That is all the white in the top left area.
So now we sit until Monday where we will be given a report about the MRI and we will be referred to a specialist and then we go from there. I was told to go back to ice rather heat and to rest.
I rested and read all day today and iced every hour and listened to Christmas carols.
I can’t sit at my computer for long as my leg is dangling down. Hopefully tomorrow I can figure out a way to get my belated Christmas posts written. Likely it will be a brief version of the events. I really want to get those blog posts done as it is our personal record of this Christmas season. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas day and will have special weekend.
For those of my readers who write a blog on Blogger, please know that I am reading your posts but because I have to sign out of Safari and re sign into Chrome, then find your blog ( because I don’t have bookmarks in Chrome ) it takes a lot of energy ( as in time sitting with leg dangling ) to write a comment. If anyone can tell me how to get connect back to Google on Safari so that I can leave a comment it would be great appreciated.

I however don’t have the energy to edit the photos and share them. I am off tomorrow to get x-rays, etc.
Meanwhile enjoy this one shot from Christmas Eve. More to come.
Colin and I are about to sit down and have a special Christmas dinner, just the two of us.

Yesterday started with Sophia coming to give me a second massage this week. I saw her last Monday but won’t see her again until December 30th. She really helps me but it does not last long. Colin drove her back to the Playa Sur embarcadero and then went on to the mercado to get the final things we needed for our annual park Christmas pot luck on Monday as well as are own Christmas dinner.

While Colin was gone I made an appetizer to enjoy over the next few days. Then Lupe finally had time to drop by. He is the one who built our palapa and after that last big storm, just before we arrived, we lost a good deal of palm branches. He figures we need about 150 to complete the repairs but he is too busy to start until early January.
The weekend before Christmas is busy here on the beach. To the left of the green canopy is a sailboat that stayed there for a few days before heading south this morning. First time we have had one in so close and between the two RV parks.
Hey those are our friends sitting out on the beach enjoying all the activity.
I finally sat late afternoon with moist heat on my leg and knee. The pain is not fun, but reading on my iPad and enjoying a glass of vino blanco certainly is.
Once sunset was over we finally got organized and had a lovely BBQ dorado dinner.
