Thanksgiving Day
Today is the official Canadian Thanksgiving Day. Unlike Americans our holiday is officially celebrated on the Monday of a 3 day weekend. We don’t have strong traditions, many use this time as a final camping weekend before winter, others find it the perfect time to put their gardens to bed for the season and many have family get togethers. Turkey and ham seem to be the favorite family dinners with most occurring on the Sunday. Colin & I are always working at this time of year, but we still take time to be thankful for what we have, most importantly each other and the life we have created together.
I am also very thankful that the weather cooperated and 90% of Colin’s outdoor jobs were completed. So now we can put a more positive spin on D day.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

wow, they are beautiful.
Gorgeous roses!
We aren’t big on holidays either. We are thankful for everyday that we have together. We are sad that we don’t see our families but know that the time we do spend with them is quality time. Love the roses.

Yes Happy Thanksgiving to you guys as well.
For us it is a weekend spent getting together with all our families and a friends, great get togethers and too much food. Being thankful for the great life that we have and getting ready for our southern migration.
And as my 7 year old grandson says, ” Grandad and Gramma, see you after Christmas when the snow is gone”
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. The roses are spectacular!
