Life is short and Que Pasa

Most of you know that my motto is “Life is short, live each day to the fullest.”  I have had two friends whom have been diagnosed with cancer within the past few weeks and one who lost a younger brother in his early  fifties.  Please my dear readers, respect the life you have and live it to the fullest.

What do you think Colleen?  She is the queen of long dogs, check out her blog. Our girls are a constant source of love and happiness for us. In this photo they are enjoying new toys, compliments of Colin.  Just as I went into the shower the other day, this happened.

A float plane landed, cruised around and then took off. I mised the entire epidose

A float plane landed, cruised around and then took off. I missed the entire episode but thanks to Colin you did not.

I took this what I think, neat shot at sunset the other day.

Cilon's f

Colin’s first thought was that it should have been the other way around.  Do you think that Mother Nature got it wrong?

This

This used to be Carmeh’s exclusive spot on the sofa.  Caeli just recently discovered it.  Carmeh has always been green and Caeli pink and they are laying on their respective areas.  They are so smart, they know where they belong.  Colin sure looks good back there in the kitchen 🙂

The view from the kitchen a moment later.  Have to say that I love our place.

Just yesterday I mentioned to Colin that we should fill my gas tank, which I usually only fill two or four times per year.   It takes premium or high octane.  Like me it is high performance and as Colin says high maintenance.

So of xour

So of course the price for regular gas went up from 1.11.9 to this, this morning.

Life is short, fill your tank when the price is low 😥

Lovely comment MaryJane. You can never ramble too much. Only one birthday party, so sad but you have the best of the best now. I hope your birthday ends up being extra special this month. My is also in May, the 22nd. I will have to spoil Colin more often, you got me thinking.

Hopefully my last FGIF glass of wine will be on November 27 2015. After that ket the good times roll.
Wow, your house sure looks nice, as does Colin in the kitchen.

Cheers, from Langley, BC. Where it’s trying to warm up.

We love our house here and love our RV site in Mexico. I like to think that we have it all. You are going to so enjoy your life this coming winter. FYI, good wine is expensive in Mexico. Start saving up.

  4. Gas is exactly the same price here in Comox on Vancouver Island. I don’t really understand how it can jump 10 cents in one day but it did. You do have a very beautiful home – incredible views.

    • Contessa says:

I just read in the news that it went up about the same amount in the USA. Crude oil is doing better.

  5. Cheryl says:

Wow, what a beautiful home with a spectacular view. Gas is on the rise here in Las Cruces too – $2.35/gallon. It always seems to increase closer to Memorial Day and stays up all summer.

  6. Colleen says:

Thanks for the shout-out Contessa. Someday we are going to get to meetup with our dachsies. That is a great picture of the girls with their toys. Harley is the only one of mine that likes toys….Willie likes them but only to take them apart.

    • Contessa says:

You are most welcome. For certain that meet up date will happen. Not only do I want to see your fur babies but I want to see some of those lovely places you RV to in Texas.

  7. chris says:

Beautiful shots of the house and the view. Looks like you guys are really going to enjoy the summer.

    • contessa says:

We really try to enjoy wherever we are. However our fun here depends on how much work Colin has to do. No complaints because that is what enables us to go to Mexico every winter.

  8. Gotta love that view. You are so right, life is far too short. Always drink the good stuff.

    • Contessa says:

Wish I could afford to drink the good stuff every day. Colin did a photo shoot for a winery last year and part payment was 3 cases of wine. That $25.00 per bottle stuff really does taste better. Is has spoiled us.

  9. Connie & Barry in PA says:

Love your view from your home – absolutely beautiful looking out over the water! Enjoy your summer at home – we know you will!

I can’t say it enough, yes we love our home and we are so lucky to have this living in an RV Park.
