Parasite Cleanse
It’s been several years since my last parasite cleanse, in truth more than several years, more like twenty. Before our RV days, Colin and I used to travel around the world. Of course it helped that at that time I worked for Air Canada and we often got very special rates. After our various trips to India, Malaysia and Singapore we would do a parasite cleanse shortly after returning home.
We have been traveling to Mexico for over 13 years and have never done a cleanse. We had no physical problems and just went with the flow. During the past two winters, a few people from Tres Amigos on the Isla were actually hospitalized due to GI problems. It was discovered that they had parasites. Someone else went home and discovered that they too have parasites, after completing a cleanse. That got me to thinking that perhaps it was time for us to do one. Years back it was a very very complicated process and cost each of us hundreds of dollars. Once I decided that we were going to do a cleanse I researched on where else but Google.
A few came up but the most efficient and effective to me was Parazyte Detox Complex, found on Amazon.com. The price was right, $26.97USD and it seemed simple enough. Take 2 capsules three times per day with food for 10 days. It is a natural cleanse containing cranberry extract, garlic extract, apple pectin powder, black walnut hull powder, carrot juice powder, papaya fruit powder, pumpkin seed, wood betony powder, butternut bark powder, cloves, wormwood, etc, etc. What really sold me was each of the 122 customer reviews of which I read them all.
I finished my cleanse a week ago and had no side effects nor did I notice any evidence of parasites. I have a friend who completed the same cleanse a month or so before me and found that she benefited overall in the GI area. Personally I have not noticed any difference in the before or after. However I do feel better mentally that I have done a cleanse, just in case. There are so many ways these days to pick up a parasite, through water, foods not cooked properly and farm animal in general, etc., even if you only travel in Canada and the USA.
When our friends Chris & Juan were here earlier in June they mentioned ‘the bomb’. It is a one pill cleanse used by the Mexicans and it is supposed to take care of whatever is in you. I may try it next year. It is called Vermox and my research indicated that it was best to take 500mg and then three weeks later another dose and then you should be good for a while. I’ll keep you updated 😳

Nice to get that maintenance done, while you can.
Kinda like getting roto rootered…
Vermox is good, not sure what side effects it has but we do know it is available in Canada. Glad to hear you’re clean.
Good point Chris, although I can’t see myself asking and actually getting my MD to issue a RX. For me it will be easier to get some pills when we are in Mexico.
