Starting to say adios amigos…..

One here, two there, bit by bit the Isla RVers are heading north.  Some want to golf for a month in California, others want to shop and yet others are meeting friends before heading home.

Sadly Colin and I only have 35 to 37 sleeps left here before we start moving these wheels.  We haven’t quite decided what our travel plans and various stops are as we head towards Canada.  That is on the to do list. The only thing we know is that we get home to Kelowna on April 20th, so I will work it backwards…..eventually.  No rush.

The weather here is lovely with high surf.  Lots of local surfers out there and the beach has taken on a sculpted effect.  Shrimp boat season ends March 8th this year and the boats are out trying to catch every last shrimp.

So yesterday I hosted a farewell evening for RV1 to say adios to friends leaving Wednesday.

Everyone brought something and we had a feast. So much to sample, delicious stir fry veggies, homemade old fashioned beans, meat balls, a rice/quinoa mix, a Japanese cabbage salad and a yummy caesar salad...and lots of vino!

Bob had to work up an appetite.

The honored guests were Marjorie and Bob on the left.

It was so nice to have proper sit down dinner. Unfortunately Barrie was unable to join us last night.

Perhaps we all should have joined Bob on the rebounder, the flan was delicious.

...as were the fruit tarts with handpicked blueberries from Ontario.

Even more sweets, homemade butter pecan tarts. Considering we seldom have desserts we really overdid it last night.

Good thing we only say adios once per year!!!

Nice party – nothing better than good friends, good food, and good memories! I know how you feel – we go thru that when it’s time to head back to PA after spending the summer in DE. Enjoy your remaining days on the Isla!!!
