Events & consequences…
Everything we do in life leads to a reaction of some sort.

Because they are so low to the ground, they get filthy and just wiping them off with a towel doesn't work. So a short walk turns into a big task.

This is the result of a seasonal renter on our street overdoing some illegal substances, yet again!! The fire truck arrived first and the ambulance took him away, until the next time.
Great news article from The Mazatlan Messenger about the Mexican Red Cross sending 10 paramedics to New York to help with the Latino population shelters. We often see the Red Cross with collection cans all along the roads in Mexico. Nice to know that our donations are coming back to the US.
Friend and blogger Croft posted a link today on his blog about making a small donation to help those affected by Sandy. In case you don't have time to go over to his site, here is his message.

Thanks for re-posting this Contessa, every small donation helps.
I always enjoy the Red Cross volunteers at the toll booths in Mexico. We drop a few pesos from our change into their can and the apply a small sticker to your windshield. They are always happy and smiling. Ambulances patrol the main highways in Mexico and you are always confident they are close if they are ever needed. We once talked to the crew of one of these ambulances at a gas station. They were very curious about what we thought of Mexico and why we traveled there. One of them was a driver/first aid technician and the other a doctor. Yes, in Mexico, most ambulances have a doctor!
Croft…I did not know that about a doctor being with an ambulance. Good to know.
