The rest of the story

This is the continuation of my last post.  Sunday evening was a celebration that I got all the taxes completed.

Mother Nature treated us to a spectacular sunset. Can you see the moon up there, that small white patch between the upper branches?

What made it so special it that it was a reverse sunset showing colour in the east as the sun set in the west.

There was even some pink colour on the snow atop the mountain.

There I was working on last nights post.

I was still at the computer when Colin caught these three couples our for a paddle post sunset.  We have never seen but two pairs out on the lake and of late just the one couple. We still have not seen any babies.

Colin was also in the celebratory mood and opened our last bottle of Longue – Dog, a Grenache, Syrah.  You can’t purchase this any more.

I bought a few of these as birthday gifts for a few years. Of course in honour of our girls. Note how the label wraps around the bottle, just like a long dog 🙂

Love the wagging tail. We enjoyed the bottle with a great dinner.  Truly a wonderful end to Sunday.
