Out with the old and in with the new and a few mishaps

We finally had warmth and sun on the last day of 2018.  It was glorious to be out without a jacket.

Two new sailboats in.

Car carrier heading out.  Besides the banana boat you should be able to see a shrimp boat and a small panga behind it.

Final Isla sunset of 2018.

Heading out to the Plazuela Machado for dinner and to bring in the New Year.  That’s Bob in the back ground, he and others stayed home to enjoy a quiet fire.

Not too many out at 8:30PM but that would change after 10PM.

We were at Topolo’s for the 9PM sitting.  It was very cool out with a bitter wind.  Not fun coming over on the lancha never mind going back at 1AM.  We were home shortly thereafter.

There are now two cats belonging to RVers who are roaming free day and night.  I saw one sitting atop a car this morning.  One of them knocked my irreplaceable glass ball from Guadalajara onto the ground where it broke into pieces.  I have seen both cats on others tables, chairs ( ours as well )etc.  Yes there is an on leash rule here at Tres Amigos but I am not in charge.

It was part of a set and a gift from Colin last Christmas.

It was a miserably cold day today but everyone from this bus had a wonderful time.

There were over two dozen and they brought everything they needed for a day at the beach.  We spent 98% of the day inside staying warm.

It was a three cruise ship day. Of course I wasn’t up at 7AM to see them arrive:)

But we did watch them leave.

Sadly this truck got very stuck in the sand.  Sad way to end the first day of 2019.  Colin directed to them to a house where there was a tractor but perhaps they were out.  Only a lone fellow with a shovel came back.  But they did get out eventually.  They were so relieved.

Finally, the last ship of the day.

I hope that your first day of 2019 was memorable for you.

You looked very lovely all dressed up for New Years Eve! Off leash pets (cats included) are the biggest irritation for us. It’s not rocket science! Happy New Year.

Thank you. I love to get dressed up. I intend to speak to the owner of the park and make sure that the park rules are enforced.

Sounds like a wonderful way to wind up 2018, and a cold start to 2019, not great here either but we did enjoy the warmth of the sun.

You both looked very nice all dressed up. How sad about the glass ball, it is so frustrating when people don’t look after their animals.

Lucky, lucky the both of you. It has been so cold last two days in Southern Arizona. We have had SNOW, nearly 6 inches today and 19F tonight. Wish we were there!
