Who knew ?

Who knew that the paved road to Stone Island/ Isla de la Piedra would make such a difference to Tres Amigos RV Park?  In truth, sadly, I did. On the one hand it is great news for the Isla and for RVers who want to experience paradise.   The  annual snowbird  migration North has begun, however this year the Isla has become a new stop for many.  RV’s are leaving here & there but even more are arriving daily.  Today we had five RV’s come in and only one had been here before.  RV1 is full.  Not one single spot left for rent.  Rather amazing.  In fact there is a domino effect happening.  When the folks in #3 leave on Monday someone in the back row is moving in.  Same thing with site #9.  Except that the people moving into #9 from the back row will then be moving to site #4 next Thursday.  That leaves the RV in #14 in the back row free to move up to #9 Thursday.  Then their friends who are in the third row in RV2 will move over to the back row of RV1 on Thursday 😯   Rather confusing for the office.  So far I have it under control, at least in my mind.  Not to worry folks, still lots of sites available in RV2.

One of the new arrivals today is a young couple from Vancouver, B.C. who started full-timing a month ago. In fact they have only been RVing for a month 😉   They are traveling with their two year old son and they are working from the RV online as they travel.  A very interesting couple indeed.  We had a large Class A pull in yesterday from Ontario but I haven’t had a change to say hello yet.  Then there is the couple from Oregon who have a home in San Carlos but are now only heading south.  So great to have new life in the RV Park, most stimulating.  We have even put an RV into the open spot ‘not to be rented site’ in the front row.  This is the site for those in the back row to be able to come forward with their chairs and enjoy the view.  It is now filled with  a lovely couple from Quebec in a cute Winnie View.

Who knew that I would lose my Spanish?  I did 🙄   I can’t speak French and Spanish in the same day.  I still get the languages muddled and end up speaking 50% of each language in the same sentence. So it is only Spanish or English from now on.  Well not exactly as I do need to do some translating for those who can only speak French.  But certainly no more casual conversation in French.

Who knows about the 4C’s vs the 5C’s?  Some of you do.  I have also written about it in the past.  Hint, first we were the 4C’s, then we gained a member and became the 5C’s but then we lost a ‘C’ but decided to remain the 5C’s because I had started this blog back in 2010.  Currently we are only four, Colin, Contessa, Carmeh and Caeli.  Should we lose yet another ‘C’ we will still  continue to remain the 5C’s.  Over the years, way before my blogging days, we were known as the 4C’S  and sometimes the 3C’s ( but not for very long ) and always signed letters and cards that way.

Who knew that there would be a boat named the 4C’s ?  Alan did.  Alan is the one who just over a week ago found “Contessa’s Cantina”.  Now he found our boat just other day.

In Alan's words...Hello Contessa, This is getting to be too funny. A week ago while walking around Bisbee Arizona I discovered that you had opened a restaurant called naturally, Contessas Cantina. Of this, I sent you a picture. My wife Laura and I have now moved on to San Diego and got in yesterday. While walking along the Tuna Basin in downtown S.D. We discovered that you and Colin have also gone into the commercial fishing business. Is this to supply your restaurant????? Regards Alan

Isn't she a beauty. Alan's brother and family knew us in our 4C's phase of life. Hard to believe we met his brother John in what we recall to be 2003.

Thanks Alan for adding to our memories with your fun photos 😎

Your 5C’s is like the user name I use on different forums bhounds4 but now it’s bhounds3 .. I left if 4. sounds like a lot of activity at your RV park. I guess that new paved road like anything else has it’s good and bad points. Love the boat photo in San Diego. You might have trademark your 5C’s. 🙂
