A scurry of activity
It’s almost Christmas and there is a certain amount of bustle around the Isla. Many of the restaurants have been prepping and adding more palapas and tables. There are more vendors on the beach. Now that my friends are all here I am doing extra cooking in anticipation of sharing some great fun and conversation over special holiday treats.

Someone is making these small round palapas and transporting them to a few of the restaurants. I was so surprised to see this going down the beach.

This fisherman works day after day patiently repairing his nets. Always fun to see him bring them in and see what the ocean shared with him.
I just wanted to mention that because of the RVers and others in the community as well as some donations, we have raised 29,315 pesos which means that 50 families here on the Isla have been provided with food vouchers for Christmas 😀
Off to prepare for the first of four fiestas over the next three days 😛

Here in Mission, Texas the Christmas celebrations have started – I can hear lots of fireworks and I expect, as usual, some gunfire (I continue to wonder why). It is but minutes before Dec 25 and we wish the very best to you on this special day. May 2016 bring you everything you need and desire.
Merry Christmas all you beach bums! Have a wonderful celebration.
