Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano Nuevo!

Happy New Year to all our friends, family and wonderful blog family!

The last sunset of 2011, what a beauty!

Many of the RVers went over to the Maria Coral to bring in the New Year in style. I wanted to stay close to the phone because of Mom so we had a quiet but very special evening here at our place. In was a warm evening and we sat out enjoying cocktails and appetizers around the last campfire of 2011.

We wined & dined in style.

The desserts went on and on, from margarita tequila jello shots, to special New Years German cookies....

...to Jessies lemon meringue pie, to Gord's special drink mix and on and on....

Of course the girls were vying for everyones attention!

Fun & games.

The plan was to bring in the New Year with New York City at Times Square. We did, lots of hugs and kisses all around but no one wanted our party to end so we kept at it, more food, more specialty drinks and all of a sudden we were bringing in the New Year yet again, with the rest of Mazatlan. We even got to see some of the fireworks. A splendid evening indeed. One of our best.

2012 started with a very long family beach walk. Perfect.

Mom is still in ICU, unfortunately her feeding tube became blocked last night and had to be reinserted.  She is not as groggy but obviously very weak and unable to move or function on her own.  The nursing are staff are wanting her to start walking so they can move her to another ward in the next few days.  Hard to say what will happen next.  Basically in a holding pattern for the next day.
